COPC Bad Weather Policy
1. Use your best judgment. Regardless of the procedure below or your responsibilities at church that day, please do not attempt to travel if the roads in your area are too dangerous for your skill or vehicle.
2. If the conditions of the roads are questionable, the steps below will be taken early enough to begin notification by 8:30 A.M. if it is decided to cancel the worship service.
a. Michael Frank will call the custodian to see if he is planning on opening the school. If the custodian is unable to open the school, Michael will call one of the Elders. The Elders and Pastor Doll will begin the process of notifying the members and regular attendees.
b. If the custodian is able to open the school, Michael and Jeff Fink will evaluate conditions in their areas and inform Pastor Doll. If the Elders determine conditions warrant canceling the service, the Elders will begin the notification process by 8:30 A.M. Michael will inform the custodian.
3. If you do not hear that the service has been cancelled by 8:45 a.m., you can assume that it will take place. You may call Michael or any of the Elders if you have questions.
4. The most current list of Members and regular attendees will be used for contact numbers. If you wish to be on that list, see Marie Stults.
