About Covenant Presbyterian Church

The name of our church is Covenant. It is not a word we hear often these days. The Bible uses it frequently to describe the relationship that God establishes with us through his Son, Jesus Christ, and guarantees by his life-giving Word. This is the most important relationship a person can have, for in this relationship God promises, “I will be their God and they will be my people.”

We are Orthodox in the sense that we believe faith and practice should always come from the clear and straight teaching of God’s Word. We are Presbyterian in that we believe Scripture teaches that leadership in the Church is not given to a single person but to a group of men called presbyters and elders who shepherd the church under the authority of Christ. We are a Church because this biblical word describes those who have been called by God’s grace out of the world to worship him.
